Andrew launched his career interning on Capitol Hill, where he worked for both Senator Bill Nelson and Representative Alan Grayson, handling constituent casework and public policy research. Moving back to his native Florida, Andrew worked on state and national campaigns for elected officials including Grayson and Governor Charlie Crist as well as an Orange County Democratic Party local reform initiative. In New York City, Andrew joined the Hotel Trades Council staff as a union organizer. He helped to mobilize the union’s 30,000+ membership to fight for fair wages, affordable housing and protections for hotel workers throughout New York State. Andrew is a graduate of Tulane University where he earned a B.A. in Political Science.
